About The Role
Extra Care Scheme Support Worker - Newcastle Under Lyme
Are you caring, compassionate and wanting to make a real difference to the lives of others? Our extra care village supports long term packages of care to residents in one building. Each service user lives within their own self-contained apartment, with their own front door. Our support workers are on site to provide personal care and support services.
The role will include support with:
- Personal care - washing, showering and toileting
- Medication administration
- Food preparation
- Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
- Answering emergency call bells
- Greeting visitors to the scheme and answering telephone calls as required
About You
Our support workers are required to work a mix of shift patterns between 7am and 10pm on a rota basis. Candidates must be able to commute to Mill Rise Extra Care Scheme, Newcastle under Lyme for shift patterns as above.

Mill Rise is a large retirement living scheme located in Newcastle under Lyme and is situated close by to local amenities including doctors and pharmacies. The scheme is owned by Aspire Housing in which they have done a great job ensuring that the building provides a homely and friendly atmosphere. Mill Rise boasts a beautiful garden that surrounds the grounds.
