About The Role

Extra Care Scheme - Waking Nights Support Worker - Lichfield

Are you caring, compassionate and wanting to make a real difference to the lives of others? Our extra care village supports long term packages of care to residents in one building. Each service user lives within their own self-contained apartment, with their own front door. Our support workers are on site to provide personal care and support services.

The role will include support with:

  • Personal care - washing, showering and toileting
  • Medication administration
  • Food preparation
  • Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
  • Answering emergency call bells
  • Greeting visitors to the scheme and answering telephone calls as required

Due to the nature of the role, this position is open to women applicants only, in accordance with applicable equality legislation.

About You

Our support workers are required to work 9.45pm - 7am on a rota pattern. Candidates must be able to commute to Beacon Park Village, Lichfield for shift patterns as above. This is a waking night position. The successful candidate is required to remain awake and alert throughout the entire shift in order to provide continuous support, monitoring, and assistance as needed. Sleeping during shifts is not permitted.
