About The Role
Residential Care Assistant – Burntwood
No experience required as full training and support provided. Full time role – 35 hours per week. Nexxus Care is seeking compassionate and reliable care assistants to join our team at Bracken House in Burntwood. The role involves supporting clients to live as independently as possible while maintaining a high standard of person‑centred care, dignity and wellbeing. Bracken House provides care and support to individuals living with Dementia, ensuring a high quality service that is safe, supportive and inclusive.
Duties can include:
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, meals, fluids and daily support
- Promote independence and support to ensure individuals are making informed choices
- Support senior members of the team by ensuring administration tasks are completed
- Contribute to key resident information to keep care plans up to date and relevant
- Encourage participation in activities and social events
- Work alongside other departments to maintain safety and cleanliness of the home
- Follow guidance, policies, procedures and regulations to remain compliant
- Remain confidential and promote dignity at all times
About You
Qualities we're looking for:
- Empathetic and compassionate – Passionate about providing care and support to residents of all abilities
- Strong communicator who builds rapport and positive working relationships
- Patient and empathetic – Understanding the frustrations that can accompany Dementia and other health conditions

- GCSE or equivalent, English
- Flexible to cover required shifts
- Commitment to attending mandatory and update training, including e‑learning completion
- Physically fit enough to carry out physical care tasks
- Ability to work well as part of a team in communal settings as well as independently
