Nexxus Care are seeking compassionate and reliable care assistants to join our team at Bracken House in Burntwood. The role of our care assistants involves supporting clients to live as independently as possible whilst maintaining a high standard of person-centred care, dignity and wellbeing. Bracken House provides care and support to individuals living with Dementia, ensuring we are delivering a high quality service that is safe, supportive and inclusive.
Duties:
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, meals, fluids and daily support
- Promoting independence and support to ensure individuals are making informed choices
- Support senior members of the team by ensuring administration tasks are completed
- Contribute to the key information of residents to ensure care plans remain up to date and relevant
- Encourage participation in activities and social events
- Work alongside other departments to ensure safety and cleanliness of the home is maintained
- Follow guidance, policies, procedures and regulations to remain compliant
- Remain confidential and promote dignity at all times
Qualities we are looking for:
- Empathetic and compassionate – individuals who are passionate about providing care and support to residents of all abilities
- Strong communicator who has the ability to build rapport and positive working relationships
- Patient and empathetic - Our residents have Dementia and other health conditions that often present as frustrations

Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check clearance
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- GCSE or equivalent, English
- Flexible to cover shifts required
- Commitment to attending mandatory and update training as well as completion of e-learning
- Physically fit enough to carry out physical care tasks
- Be able to work well as part of a team in communal settings as well as independently
