About The Role
Senior Care Assistant – 28 or 35 hours per week available.
Meadowyrthe is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to work within a busy dementia care home.
Shift patterns: 7am – 2.30pm and 2.30pm – 10pm, alternate weekends.
Meadowyrthe Residential Home is a 41-bed facility located in Meadowyrthe, Staffordshire. As a Senior Care Assistant with Nexxus, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents to deliver quality care, supervise, and help lead a team alongside the registered manager.
Some duties may include:
- Providing leadership to care staff and managing shifts efficiently
- Completing staff supervisions and spot checks, supporting staff development
- Promoting independence and encouraging appropriate risk-taking
- Understanding person-centred care and care plans, respecting individual choices
- Completing audits within the home
- Administering medication
- Engaging with service users, families, and external agencies

What we need from you:
- Ability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm (e.g., 7am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-10pm)
- Desire to provide respectful personal care and support
- Right to work in the UK (proofs such as passport, Visa)
- Willingness to complete a DBS check (initial cost covered)
- Provide at least two professional references
- Attend a 3-day classroom-based induction (paid training)
- Complete mandatory e-learning during probation
