Are you caring, compassionate and wanting to make a real difference to the lives of others? Our extra care village supports long term packages of care to residents in one building. Each service user lives within their own self-contained apartment, with their own front door. Our support workers are on site to provide personal care and support services.
The role will include support with:
- Personal care - washing, showering and toileting
- Medication administration
- Food preparation
- Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
- Answering emergency call bells
- Greeting visitors to the scheme and answering telephone calls as required
We are currently recruiting for a part time support worker on a 16 hour per week contract. Our support workers are required to work 7am-3pm and 3pm-10pm, alternate weekends. Candidates must be able to commute to Daisy Haye Extra Care Scheme, Leek for shift patterns as above.
Daisy Haye is a retirement living scheme located in the picturesque town of Leek and is situated close by to local amenities including supermarkets and GP surgeries. The scheme is brought to the community by Ascent, a joint partnership between Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Your Housing group. There are communal areas including a reception area, bistro, lounge, hairdresser and salon as well as pamper bathrooms. Daisy Haye boasts a beautiful garden that surrounds the grounds and is tended to by the residents of Daisy Haye.
