Our client is seeking a Senior HR – Human Resources Administrator with 4 to 5 years of HR experience.

The role\’s primary responsibility is to serve as the first point of contact for employees and line managers on HR issues and queries, supporting administrative and operational activities within the HR department.

The position reports to the HR Manager – L&D Specialist, with additional support to the Head of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include processing the monthly payroll, supporting various projects related to L&D and recruitment, and working across functions such as payroll, employee relations, learning and development, and leavers.

Payroll

  • Processing monthly payroll, including employee holiday and sick leave records
  • Managing employee benefits, joiners, leavers, and changes
  • Coordinating with Finance and external providers to ensure accurate payments

Learning and Development

  • Supporting probation reviews and appraisals to identify training needs
  • Assisting employees and managers with training inquiries and arrangements
  • Organizing internal and external training sessions
  • Maintaining training records for all employees

Employee Relations

  • Supporting HR team with employee relations cases, adhering to policies and employment law
  • Assisting with HR meetings, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and flexible working requests

Recruitment and Induction

  • Supporting recruitment campaigns and liaising with agencies
  • Ensuring effective recruitment processes in collaboration with managers and HR team
  • Managing employment contract administration, onboarding, and probation monitoring

Leavers

  • Handling leaver administration, including exit interviews

General

  • Maintaining employee records on HRMS and updating databases
  • Preparing HR documents such as contracts, references, and resignation letters
  • Reviewing and updating company policies and ensuring legal compliance
  • Reporting on HR metrics
  • Being the first point of contact for HR-related employee queries
  • Processing requests for schemes like eyesight tests and prescriptions
  • Tracking invoices
  • Participating in HR projects and initiatives
  • Performing additional duties as required

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a generalist HR role, including payroll, training, and recruitment
  • Proven payroll processing experience
  • Experience with management information reporting
  • Experience with eHRMS systems

Additional requirements include supporting employee relations, understanding employment legislation, building stakeholder relationships, managing multiple tasks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Flexibility to work across sites in Stevenage and London is needed.

Qualifications:

  • Part or newly qualified CIPD or equivalent
  • Degree qualification preferred
