Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our client, a bank based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and C#.NET, ASP.NET technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver new systems to automate and streamline processes across departments.
• Support the internal IT team with software updates and upgrades.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for in-house bespoke systems and interfaces.
• Support budgeting and financial planning processes by managing data loads and refreshes in SQL and Hyperion systems.
• Build and maintain data flows within SQL environments using SSIS packages.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Identify and escalate risks and control gaps as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server and SSIS.
• Proficiency in SQL programming.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design concepts (Inmon or Kimball).
• Experience with SSRS and building data warehouses.
• Experience with C# .NET and ASP.NET is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Details:

• 12-month fixed-term contract.
• Salary circa £55K – £70K.
• Office presence required at least 3 days per week.
