Nexus Resource Solutions are working with a market leading manufacturing company that specialise in offshore handling equipment. We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer with excellent API RP 2C knowledge who can help them gain this accreditation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Implementation and maintenance of project Quality Plans and ITPs
- Ensuring fabrication and assembly activities comply with API RP 2C, project specifications, and client requirements
- Review and approval of WPS, PQRs, welder qualifications, and NDT procedures
- Liaison with third-party inspectors (DNV, Lloyd’s, ABS, BV)
- Monitoring and management of NDT activities (UT, MPI, RT)
- Review of material certification
- Compilation and review of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs)
- Non-conformance management and root cause analysis
- Supporting load testing, FATs, and final certification activities
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within offshore, marine, or heavy structural fabrication
- Strong working knowledge of API RP 2C
- Experience with offshore crane structures, lifting equipment, or heavy steel structures
- Solid understanding of welding standards (ISO 9606, ASME IX, AWS)
- Familiarity with NDT methods and acceptance criteria
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Confident working in an audited, third-party inspected environment
What's on offer:
- £50k-£55k per annum PAYE
- £34-36ph LTD Co
- 37hr week
- Fri/Mon WFH
- Tue-Wed office based in Glasgow
- Fully remote available for the right person
- Must be UK based with the RTW in the UK
