Department: Extrusion Blow Moulding Operation

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Shifts: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) | Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM | Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Salary: £50,000+ (Salary negotiable depending on experience)

Company Description

Nexus are manufacturers of extrusion blow moulded product. We supply plastic chemical containers to the specialty chemicals industry. We opened a brand new manufacturing facility in Hillington, Renfrewshire in December 2023. We've commissioned 9 all-electric machines - they are the most technologically advanced and energy efficient on the market and we're looking for engineers/technicians to lead on this project with the main roles of maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site engineering role located in Hillington Park, Renfrewshire. The Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the mechanical and electrical systems. The Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with other departments to maximize efficiency and optimize processes.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
  • Skills in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree / College Diploma in Engineering or related field is a plus
  • Experience in the packaging industry is a plus
