Join the Nexus team as a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) at Kenwood Academy, Sheffield.

Contract type: Permanent, Term Time only + 5 INSET days

Hours: 36 hours per week (Part Time considered)

Kenwood Academy is a special learning community for neurodiverse young people aged 11-19. The school promotes a culture of inclusion, high expectations for engagement, learning and achievement, and a holistic, spiral curriculum that supports students from Entry Level to A Level.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of specialist provision.
  • Specialising in earlier stages of the curriculum (e.g., Key Stages 2 and 3) or later stages (e.g., Key Stages 4 and 5).
  • Delivering a range of specific, targeted intervention programmes on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Contributing to the implementation and review of Educational Health and Care Plans and other associated plans, distributed from the school’s SENDCO.
  • Providing exceptional pastoral care and support for young people.
