Nexus Multi Academy Trust is an all age special school for children and young people with special educational needs. They are passionate about providing the best quality of education and care for pupils and put the students first before anything else. As a school which is now growing in size, they are looking for fresh and new talented people with a passion for education and the determination to begin a career as a Teaching Assistant in this rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring that the learning environment is safe and purposeful for the pupils at the beginning and end of the day.
- Ensure that all resources and equipment are clean, hygienic and ready for use.
- Support children and young people in all areas of learning under the direction of the teacher or HLTA.
- Monitor pupils' responses to learning activities and record achievement and progress as directed.
- Encourage positive behaviour for learning.
The apprenticeship will take 15 months of practical training. Candidates will study with the RNN group both on day release at the Rotherham Campus and remotely by Google Classroom. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship standard and the End Point Assessment, candidates will gain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Working hours: Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, term‑time only.
Salary range: £24,000 – £24,573 per annum.
