Join the Nexus team as a Specialist Education Outreach Practitioner, working 1-1 with a pupil accessing an Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) package in the home.
Hours and Salary: NJC19 – NJC23: £32,062 - £34,434 FTE (£24,371 - £26,174, actual salary for 32.5 hours per week / term time only)
Contract type: Full-time Permanent, Term Time Only

As a Specialist Education Outreach Practitioner, you will be at the heart of their educational journey, helping them to grow, thrive, and achieve their potential through a personalised programme of learning. Guided by a Specialist Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences tailored to the student’s unique needs and interests, whether at home or out in the wider community.
Your role will be about more than just teaching — it’s about building trust, fostering confidence, and opening doors to new possibilities. You will be making a real difference to the life of a learner and their families who have experienced significant barriers to education and who need a bespoke approach to education.
We’re looking for someone who brings passion, creativity, and professionalism to every interaction. You’ll be flexible in your approach, able to adapt activities to inspire and motivate, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and conduct. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with parents, carers, colleagues, and other professionals will be key to ensuring the very best outcomes.
