Nexus Media Group (NMG) is the leading London-based media and events business focusing on the healthcare and education sectors. We are recruiting for an experienced journalist to work on our flagship titles of HealthInvestor and Educationinvestor. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious journalist with significant experience covering M&A to publish on a well-respected brand and help shape its development.
Responsibilities
- Reporting on market activity in the fast-moving UK healthcare and education investment sectors.
- Producing excellent written content and market analysis.
- Commissioning content from different contributors and contributing towards digital (social media and webpage) content strategy.
- Taking full responsibility for online newsletters and breaking news alerts.
- Playing an active role in the brand’s events calendar.
Requirements
- Track record of cultivating a trusted network of off-record sources, including investment bankers, private equity sponsors, and advisors.
- Significant experience as a journalist with a focus on M&A coverage.
- Able to liaise with and interview high-level practitioners within a technical field (legal, financial, regulatory etc.).
- Experience using online CMS systems.
- Previous experience reporting on healthcare and education sectors would be an advantage.
Full support and regular training will be given to the successful candidate to ensure they have all they need to carry out their duties. Competitive salary commensurate with experience, 6 month contract with possibility of temp to perm.
