I am partnered with a leading chemical manufacturing organisation, which is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemical Operator. The chemical operator will support chemical manufacturing operations, the safe and efficient execution of production processes, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

About the Role

As a Chemical Operator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing batch sheet processes to manufacture fine chemicals in compliance with safety and quality protocols.
  • Operating and monitoring production equipment for manufacturing, drying, and packaging processes.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting operational issues to ensure smooth production.
  • Strictly adhering to safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with management and team members to optimize production schedules and processes.
  • Actively participating in safety improvement initiatives and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
  • Documenting production activities, equipment status, and any incidents or deviations accurately.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to work extended hours as required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Office 365.
  • Understanding of hazards and safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous chemicals, materials, and explosive atmospheres.
  • ATEX.

Preferred Skills

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of industrial experience in fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
