We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QC Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation.

Reporting directly to the QC Manager, this role is integral to ensuring the quality and compliance of pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities

As a Senior QC Analyst, your key responsibilities will include

  • Supervising and leading a team of analysts in the Quality Control laboratory, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
  • Reviewing Batch Manufacturing Documents and analytical test results to facilitate product release.
  • Performing analytical testing of manufactured product samples for release, stability studies, and validation using techniques such as HPLC and GC.
  • Assigning duties to analysts based on production release requirements, ensuring efficient laboratory operations.
  • Reviewing and approving product labels for use by the Production Department.
  • Preparing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures, Raw Material Documents, Analytical Test Reports, Validation Protocols, and Reports.
  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting analytical methods, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Ensuring laboratory housekeeping is maintained to appropriate standards.
  • Supporting inspection readiness and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reviewing analytical data against pharmacopeial and registered specifications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • A degree in Chemical Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality Control/Analytical experience within a GMP environment.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques, including IR and NIR spectroscopy, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gas Chromatography (GC).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good computer literacy and familiarity with laboratory systems.
  • A commitment to health and safety practices, including ensuring team members are adequately trained in safety protocols and the use of PPE.
