Responsibilities
As a Senior QC Analyst, your key responsibilities will include
- Supervising and leading a team of analysts in the Quality Control laboratory, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Reviewing Batch Manufacturing Documents and analytical test results to facilitate product release.
- Performing analytical testing of manufactured product samples for release, stability studies, and validation using techniques such as HPLC and GC.
- Assigning duties to analysts based on production release requirements, ensuring efficient laboratory operations.
- Reviewing and approving product labels for use by the Production Department.
- Preparing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures, Raw Material Documents, Analytical Test Reports, Validation Protocols, and Reports.
- Providing technical support, troubleshooting analytical methods, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Ensuring laboratory housekeeping is maintained to appropriate standards.
- Supporting inspection readiness and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Reviewing analytical data against pharmacopeial and registered specifications.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A degree in Chemical Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of Quality Control/Analytical experience within a GMP environment.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques, including IR and NIR spectroscopy, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gas Chromatography (GC).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with laboratory systems.
- A commitment to health and safety practices, including ensuring team members are adequately trained in safety protocols and the use of PPE.
