Orkney Islands Council is seeking a highly organised individual to join the Community Led Local Development (CLLD) team as an Assistant Project Officer. This role involves providing financial and administrative support in processing and monitoring grant applicants, claims, and payments.

The successful candidate will:

  • Process grant applications and payment of claims, ensuring compliance with scheme guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets for accurate recording and monitoring of various funding streams, including monthly reconciliation with the council’s financial system.
  • Provide team administrative support to the CLLD Team and the Local Action Group, including minute-taking and other financial processes.

Familiarity with public sector funding and experience with grant-assisted projects are crucial for this role. The necessary qualifications, experience, and skills required for this position are detailed in the ‘must have’ section of the attached job profile.
