Our Client, a bank based in Central London, is looking to recruit a bright talented individual as an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst with circa 5 to 6 years IT Support experience. You will have at least 5 to 6 years hands-on experience within IT Infrastructure ideally from the Banking or Financial arena.
Must have in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting experience with Windows, Office365 and ideally Banking applications and conferencing applications. The Client is rolling out MS Windows 11 and would therefore like to recruit an individual with these skills.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure for the Branch and to provide IT support to staff.
- Assist in the response to service outages and other IT related problems as well as maintenance and upkeep for security of the systems in place.
- Familiarity with core banking systems or financial applications.
- Provide first/second level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues and working knowledge of VMWare.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, phones/mobiles and other IT equipment.
- Laptop imaging experience needed (WIM USB, MDT, SCCM, Intune, AutoPilot) – image creation, management and deployments.
- Assist in user account management in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and banking systems.
- Networking fundamentals – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN.
- Understanding of cybersecurity measures.
- Perform routine system backups and assist with disaster recovery operations.
- Monitor system performance and report abnormalities to senior IT staff.
- Assist with software updates, patches, and antivirus management.
- Exposure to following Fortinet solutions – FortiGate, FortiClient VPN, Symantec Endpoint Protection & Encryption, BitLocker, SentinelOne, Cisco Switches, Tenable, Group policy, ManageEngine, Nagios, MFA.
- Document IT procedures and maintain technical documentation relating to role.
Technical/Functional Skills
- Proficient in common operating systems (Linux – Redhat & Ubuntu, Windows OS – Win10 & 11)
- Software proficiency – 0365, SharePoint and Teams – Banking applications
- Networking (IT)
- Proficient in programming languages & automation (good to have)
- Project management
- Data analysis
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals
This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the office in Central London. The salary for this position will be circa £40K-£45K.
