As part of our long-term building sustainable growth strategy, we have an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team at Coleman Construction and Utilities. We have a proven track record of delivering civil projects within the water sector and are perfectly placed to be a key delivery partner for the AMP8 period and beyond!
As a Site Manager, you will oversee the delivery of water infrastructure projects within the Thames Water framework, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications. You will manage site teams, subcontractors, and liaise with clients to ensure successful project execution.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Project Delivery
- Manage day-to-day site operations across clean and wastewater projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Lead site setup, service tracing, and early-stage works through to handover.
- Health & Safety
- Enforce strict compliance with H&S regulations (CDM, SMSTS, NRSWA).
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits.
- Promote a zero-accident culture.
- Team & Stakeholder Management
- Supervise site teams including foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and Thames Water representatives.
- Facilitate Constructability Reviews and Project Rehearsals.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Approve and manage RAMS, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates.
- Ensure Thames Water documentation and framework compliance.
- Environmental & Sustainability
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste and embodied carbon.
- Ensure environmental legislation and sustainability goals are met.
- Proven experience managing water infrastructure projects, ideally within the Thames Water framework.
- Strong knowledge of utilities, civils, and refurbishment works.
- Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, Thames Water Passport, EUSR, CAT & Genny, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with pre-construction planning and framework documentation.

You will need:- Ability to manage multiple sites or fast‑paced projects.
- Experience with deep excavation and structural reinstatement.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills.
