What We Build
Nexus builds AI‑native applications for the workflows that drive regulated financial services, credit analysis, compliance documentation, and ESG risk assessment. Our platform reads, extracts, drafts, and structures the information professionals need to make decisions, delivering outputs that meet regulatory and institutional governance standards. Each output is reviewed and signed off by a qualified professional – the machine drafts, the human makes the call.
MACHINE-FIRST
The AI reads source documents, extracts relevant data, drafts structured output, and flags gaps at speed and scale no analyst team can match.
WE SELL ROLES, CHARGE IN VOLUME
We price per unit of output, not per seat. Our NCU model means cost scales with deal flow, not headcount.
HUMAN‑FINAL
Every output is reviewed and signed off by a qualified professional. Accountability structures are unchanged. Information quality is higher.
EXISTING CREDENTIALS
We work with Tier‑1 banks and financial institutions, giving you an established track record when you join us in London.
About The Role
- Location: London, UK
- Full‑time vacancy
- Level: Mid‑level
- Function: Banking & Financial Service
- Report to: CEO
Nexus Frontier Tech is hiring a commercially driven Sales Engineer to sell our AI solutions into Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks across the UK.
- Corporate Loan Credit Analysis – helping teams automate financial spreading, credit memo drafting, and core underwriting workflows
- ESG Credit Risk & Compliance Intelligence – enabling faster, source‑traceable ESG borrower assessments and regulatory reporting
You’ll work directly with our leadership team to open new conversations, shape commercial strategy, and close high‑value enterprise deals. You need to understand how financial institutions make decisions, who controls the budget, and how to build trust inside a procurement environment that is slow, cautious, and highly relationship‑driven.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands how financial institutions buy technology, enjoys building trusted relationships, and wants to be part of scaling enterprise AI in one of the most important regulated sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for new UK banking clients, from prospecting and first meeting through to pilot agreement and contract signature.
- Build a pipeline of qualified opportunities across Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK banks, drawing on your existing network and relationships in the sector.
- Run structured discovery conversations to map buying committees and surface the right entry point — whether that is a Head of Credit, an ESG Risk function, or a COO office.
- Present and demo our solutions with credibility and precision; adapt the ROI model to the client’s actual headcount, deal flow, and cost structure in the room.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across long, multi‑threaded enterprise sales cycles, maintaining momentum without pushing so hard you damage trust.
- Handle objections fluently, model risk, data accuracy, accountability frameworks, integration complexity, and know when to elevate to technical or leadership support.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on deal strategy, pricing, and pilot scoping.
- Provide structured market intelligence back to the product and commercial team, detailing what buyers are asking for, where the friction is, and what competitor offerings are referenced.
Who We Are Looking For
You do not need to be a data scientist. You need to understand how banks work, be willing to learn the substance of our solutions in depth, and have the drive to keep going when deals are slow. Banking sales is a long game. We are looking for someone who is energised by that, not put off by it.
- 3–6 years of commercial experience in financial services – either selling into banks or working inside one in a commercial, product, or advisory function.
- Working knowledge of banking operations – credit, compliance, or ESG functions. You do not need to be a credit analyst, but you need to know what a credit memo is and why it matters.
- Existing relationships in UK financial services are a significant advantage. If you have worked at a bank, a fintech that sells to banks, or a professional services firm serving the sector, tell us specifically who you know and how.
- Comfort selling long cycles; you have managed deals that take six to eighteen months to close and stayed structured and persistent without losing momentum or credibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication. You write follow‑up emails that move things forward. You present with authority and adapt your level of technical depth to the room.
- Coachable and curious. You will learn a new product category in a fast‑moving environment. You need to absorb product knowledge fast and enjoy doing so.
- High personal standards. You prepare before every meeting. You do not make it up as you go. You track your pipeline with discipline.
