Location: Nottingham Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour Hours: Full-time - 6:30am to 4:00pm (9 hours) Job Type: Temporary, with strong potential to become permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team working across Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in grounds maintenance who is looking for ongoing work, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The Role As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of grounds maintenance duties, helping to keep outdoor areas safe, tidy and well maintained. Duties may include: * General grounds maintenance and landscaping * Grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting * Vegetation clearance and maintenance * Operating MEWPs safely and efficiently * Using grounds maintenance machinery and equipment * Chainsaw work where required * General outdoor maintenance duties * Working as part of a team to complete jobs to a high standard The Candidate We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced individual who takes pride in their work. Essential requirements: * Full UK driving licence * Valid MEWP qualification/experience * Previous grounds maintenance experience * Good understanding of health & safety * Reliable and punctual * Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Highly desirable: * Chainsaw experience/qualification is massively preferred * Experience using a range of grounds maintenance machinery * Landscaping or arboricultural experience What We Offer * £13.50 per hour * Full-time hours, 6:30am–4:00pm * Ongoing temporary work * Strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate * Consistent work in the Nottingham area * Opportunity to work with an established team If you have the relevant experience, hold a driving licence and MEWP, and have chainsaw experience, we'd love to hear from you.
