We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team on a temporary-to-permanent basis at a static site based at Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for a long-term position.
The Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and outdoor areas of the site to a high standard. Your duties will include:
- Grass cutting and strimming
- Hedge and shrub maintenance
- Weeding and general grounds upkeep
- Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy
- Using grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Carrying out general landscaping and horticultural duties
- Maintaining a high standard of presentation across the site
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Following site health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role is preferred
- Full UK driving licence is not required
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional and positive attitude
