The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company based in Reading. This role offers a dynamic working environment where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in a variety of commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults efficiently
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing (desirable)
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or industrial environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • SC or DV cleared (preferred but not essential)
