We are currently recruiting for an immediately available Electrical Engineer to join a global leading Facilities Management provider on a high-profile commercial site in London King’s Cross. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer to secure a temp-to-perm position with a business that is expanding rapidly across the UK. The successful candidate will initially join on an hourly temp basis, with the role converting to a permanent position at £48,000 per annum.
The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a modern commercial building, ensuring all electrical and mechanical plant is maintained to a high standard.
- Duties will include:
- Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across the site
- Working on building services equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, lighting, emergency lighting and general electrical systems
- Basic fault-finding across mechanical plant and associated electrical controls
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and site standards
- Updating and completing tasks using CAFM systems
- Liaising with the client, helpdesk and wider engineering team
- Supporting contractors and ensuring works are completed safely and professionally
- Maintaining high standards across a busy, client-facing commercial environment
Requirements
- Electrical maintenance experience within commercial building services / FM
- Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
- Experience working on systems such as AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
- CAFM system experience
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition preferred
- Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing approach
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice

- £48,000 per annum
- Temp hourly rate equivalent: £23.08 per hour, based on 40 hours per week
