The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial, contractual and operational aspects of assigned projects and contracts. You will work closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and senior management to ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and in accordance with agreed commercial and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident in managing multiple contracts and stakeholders. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify risks, resolve issues and protect the company's commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities
Manage contracts from tender/award through to completion and final account.
Review and understand contract terms, conditions, specifications and associated documentation.
Ensure contractual obligations are understood and effectively communicated to relevant teams.
Monitor project and contract performance against agreed scope, programme, budget and commercial objectives.
Manage variations, change orders, extensions of time, claims and contractual notices.
Identify, assess and manage contractual, commercial and operational risks.
Prepare and maintain contract documentation, records and correspondence.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Negotiate contractual terms, variations, settlements and commercial agreements where required.
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Work closely with project and operational teams to ensure works are delivered in accordance with contract requirements.
Monitor applications for payment, valuations, invoices, costs and final accounts.
Support the preparation of monthly commercial and contract reports for senior management. xgikmsk
