The Nexum Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Estimator, for our long standing client, based in Derbyshire. The company are an established, dynamic and reputable M&E contractor with a team of highly skilled professionals. This team have the knowledge and experience to handle complex projects of any scale, adhering to the highest industry standards. With a broad client base, recent fast growth, plus a healthy pipeline of work already for 2025, they are looking to add strength to their experienced commercial team with a dedicated and detail-oriented M+E Estimator. **Key Responsibilities:** – Prepare detailed estimates for electrical installations in commercial offices, data centres, public sector projects (e.g. hospitals), and direct client works. – Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive proposals. – Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimation of costs, including materials, labour, and overheads. – Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather all necessary information for accurate estimations. – Review and update existing cost databases and estimation tools. – Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure all estimates comply with current laws and practices. **Qualifications:** – Relevant degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred. – Previous experience as an estimator or in a relevant position – Strong analytical and mathematical skills. – Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. – Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **What is on Offer:** – Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. – Opportunities for professional development and training. – A dynamic working environment. – Involvement in exciting projects across various sectors.
