We are seeking a highly experienced HR Manager to build and lead the HR function for our client. This role is vital in establishing a strong organizational foundation, managing recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance with UK employment regulations while aligning with the client's global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy Development: Collaborate with the UK CEO and Global HR team to design and implement an HR strategy. Establish HR policies, processes, and frameworks to support the UK subsidiary’s growth.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and offer management. Develop a streamlined onboarding process to ensure new hires integrate effectively into the team.
- Employee Relations and Compliance: Serve as the primary contact for all HR matters, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and health and safety standards. Handle HR documentation, including contracts, employee handbooks, and disciplinary procedures.
- Compensation and Benefits: Design competitive compensation and benefits packages tailored to the UK market. Oversee payroll processes in collaboration with external providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- HR Systems and Reporting: Implement and manage HR systems to maintain employee records and track performance. Provide regular HR updates and reports to the UK leadership and the global HR team.
Requirements
- Experience: Over 10 years of HR experience, with a proven track record of building HR functions in start-up environments or scaling organizations from small teams to larger operations. (CIPD qualification preferred)
- Local Expertise: Deep understanding of UK employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR practices.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with global teams and navigating cross-cultural dynamics effectively.
- Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.
