We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager with a strong background in offshore wind energy. In this role, you will lead the development and management of competitive bids for offshore wind projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, finance, and legal, to develop high-quality proposals for major offshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the bid management process for offshore wind projects, from initial inquiry to contract negotiation.
- Develop and execute bid strategies, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, procurement) to create compelling, competitive, and compliant bids.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for each bid, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality proposals.
- Assess risks and opportunities in bid submissions, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with customers, partners, and subcontractors to develop strong relationships and competitive proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement in bid processes, ensuring best practices and lessons learned are implemented.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bid management, sales, or project management within the offshore wind sector.
- Prior experience working with a Wind Turbine OEM or a similar company.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind project requirements, contract structures, and tendering processes.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in bid management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
