Role Summary

We are looking for a Data Technology Engineer to design, build, and run secure, multi‑tenant data platform capabilities. This role focuses on platform services, integration, orchestration, security, and observability, enabling teams to reliably access, integrate, and operate data pipelines at scale. This is a modern cloud‑native platform role—ideal for engineers who enjoy working across Kubernetes, APIs, data orchestration, and developer experience, while partnering closely with security and risk stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and evolve multi‑tenant platform architecture
  • Build secure access patterns for data services and APIs
  • Deliver integration and API management capabilities (Kong or similar)
  • Enable data virtualisation via Trino or query federation tools
  • Operate Airflow as a platform service with production standards
  • Implement end‑to‑end observability aligned to SLOs
  • Improve CI/CD, artefact promotion, and developer experience
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and engineering teams

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Kubernetes or cloud‑native platform engineering
  • Exposure to multi‑tenant platform architectures
  • API management or integration tooling (Kong, Apigee, gateways)
  • Airflow in production environments
  • Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, tracing)
  • Data access technologies (Trino, federation, or query engines)
  • Solid engineering fundamentals: version control, CI/CD, IaC concepts

Nice to Have

  • Security, audit, or policy‑as‑code exposure
  • Container image management (Harbor or similar)
  • Data storage experience (S3, Hive, RDBMS)
