We are hiring a Private Equity Associate in London for a firm in our partner network.
Compensation: £80,000 - £110,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Source and evaluate acquisition opportunities, conducting preliminary screening and market analysis
- Lead comprehensive due diligence workstreams covering financial, commercial, operational, and strategic dimensions
- Build detailed financial models, including LBO analysis, returns projections, and sensitivity scenarios
- Prepare investment committee materials that synthesize findings and articulate the investment thesis
- Negotiate transaction terms alongside senior deal team members and external advisors
- Support portfolio company management teams on value creation initiatives, operational improvements, and growth strategies
- Monitor portfolio company performance against plan, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
- Coordinate with external advisors, including consultants, lawyers, accountants, and industry experts throughout the deal processes
You’ll stand out if you bring:
- A consulting background from MBB, Big 4, or respected boutique firms, with exposure to commercial due diligence or corporate strategy
- 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or management consulting
- Strong financial modeling capabilities and fluency in LBO mechanics, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring
- Commercial instincts and the ability to assess market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth potential
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with executives, advisors, and investment teams
