Our client is a Series C developer tools and API infrastructure company headquartered in London, providing the connectivity layer that allows enterprise software teams to integrate, automate, and orchestrate their technology stacks. With over 3,000 enterprise customers, $60m raised, and a developer community of 150,000, the business is scaling rapidly and investing in its ecosystem as a core growth lever. The Head of Ecosystem & Platform is a new role reporting to the Chief Product Officer, with close ties to Sales, Marketing, and Strategy.
As Head of Ecosystem & Platform, you will define the company's ecosystem strategy, including how it builds, enables, and monetises a network of technology partners, system integrators, and ISVs that extend the platform's value. You will combine strategic thinking with commercial execution, and will be the internal authority on how the platform competes and wins through ecosystem leverage.
What You'll Do
- Define the ecosystem strategy: which partner types create the most value, how to structure commercial relationships, and how to build network effects that strengthen the platform's competitive moat.
- Build and manage a portfolio of technology partnerships and integration relationships, from initial outreach and scoping through to activation and co‐selling.
- Work with the Product team to shape the platform roadmap based on ecosystem insights.
- Develop co‐marketing and co‐selling programmes with key partners to drive joint pipeline and mutual growth.
- Track and report ecosystem contribution to growth metrics, including partner‐sourced ARR, integration adoption, and developer community engagement.
What We're Looking For
- 8–12 years of experience in platform strategy, business development, or product strategy within a technology business, with direct experience building or scaling a technology ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of API‐led business models, developer ecosystems, and platform economics.
- Commercial acumen, able to structure and close partnership agreements that align incentives and create measurable value.
- Able to bridge technical and commercial conversations credibly, without needing to be an engineer.
- Experience at a developer tools, API, or infrastructure company is a strong advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of £110,000 – £140,000, depending on experience.
- Annual bonus and equity options in a high‐growth, Series C business.
- Private health cover, enhanced pension, and hybrid working from the London headquarters.
