The selected candidate for the Investment Analyst role will conduct investment research, build financial models, and support portfolio decision‑making across asset classes. You will translate market data and company fundamentals into actionable investment insights that drive superior returns.
You will:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies, industries, and market trends to identify investment opportunities
- Build sophisticated financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and scenario analysis)
- Analyse financial statements, competitive positioning, and business models to assess investment risk and return potential
- Monitor portfolio holdings and track performance against benchmarks and investment theses
- Prepare investment memos, pitch presentations, and research reports for portfolio managers and investment committees
- Support due diligence processes (management meetings, site visits, expert calls, and third‑party research analysis)
- Track macroeconomic indicators, market developments, and regulatory changes that impact investment decisions
You’ll be a strong match if you have:
- 3‑5+ years in consulting (MBB, Big 4, or boutique firms) with exposure to valuation, financial modelling, or industry research
- Strong financial analysis skills, i.e., you understand financial statements, build models from scratch, and can evaluate business fundamentals
- Experience with equity research, credit analysis, or investment due diligence processes
- The ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources and distill it into clear investment recommendations
- Knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, multiples‑based valuation, comparable transaction analysis)
- Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data, i.e., you balance rigorous analysis with business judgment
