What You'll Be Doing
As Head of Operations, you'll build the operational foundation that allows a high-growth tech startup to scale without breaking. Your focus will be on turning ad-hoc activities into repeatable systems. Day-to-day, you'll:
- Own the operating model - Design and implement processes, systems, and frameworks that scale with revenue growth
- Drive operational efficiency - Identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and make the business run faster and leaner
- Build cross-functional infrastructure - Create the connective tissue between Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance
- Lead key operational initiatives - From go-to-market operations to supply chain optimization to vendor management
- Establish performance metrics - Build dashboards and reporting that give leadership real-time visibility into what's working
- Manage strategic projects - Take ownership of company-wide initiatives that require operational execution
- Scale the team - Hire, develop, and manage an operations function as the company grows
- Partner with the exec team - Sit at the leadership table and influence decisions on resource allocation, priorities, and growth strategy
You'll Fit Right In If You Have:
- Consulting background - MBB, Big 4, or top-tier operations/strategy firms
- 7+ years in operations - corporate operations, business operations, or operational leadership roles
- Tech or startup exposure - You've seen what good (and bad) operations look like in fast-moving environments
- Builder mentality - You don't just optimize what exists; you create new systems from scratch
- Bias for action - You know when to move fast with 80% certainty vs. when to slow down and get it right
- Cross-functional leadership - You can influence without authority and get teams to row in the same direction
- Strong analytical skills - Data-driven decision making comes naturally, but you don't let analysis paralysis slow you down
- Scrappiness - You're comfortable with ambiguity and can toggle between strategic thinking and rolling up your sleeves
If you've spent your career in consulting and want to move into a role where you build and run operations, this role is for you. This is your chance to own outcomes and shape how a company scales.
