NextStep connects top consulting talent with high-potential opportunities through smart, AI-powered matching. We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact.

Our client is a rapidly growing direct-to-consumer health and wellness brand headquartered in London, selling across its own website, Amazon, and major UK and European retailers. With revenues of £60m and ambitious plans to reach £150m over the next three years, the business is investing in its commercial finance capability to sharpen its decision-making on pricing, channel investment, and new product launches. The CFO is looking for a commercially minded finance leader who can partner directly with the Sales and Marketing functions.

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as the primary finance partner to the Sales and Marketing teams, providing the analysis, challenge, and insight that drives better commercial decisions. You will own the P&L for key channels and customer accounts, lead investment appraisals for new initiatives, and ensure the business has a clear, real-time view of margin performance across its product range.

What You'll Do

  • Own the channel and customer P&L, tracking revenue, margin, and cost performance across DTC, Amazon, and retail accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Build and maintain commercial models to support pricing decisions, promotional investment appraisals, and new-product launch business cases.
  • Partner with the Sales leadership team on retailer negotiations, providing financial analysis that underpins pricing and volume commitments.
  • Lead the commercial finance input into the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes, working closely with Sales and Marketing leads.
  • Develop a suite of commercial dashboards and KPIs that give the business real-time visibility of margin and revenue performance.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of experience in commercial finance, management consulting, or financial analysis within a consumer, retail, or FMCG environment.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and experience building channel P&Ls, promotional ROI models, and business case frameworks.
  • Commercially curious, genuinely interested in understanding the drivers of revenue and margin, not just reporting on them.
  • Effective business partner, comfortable engaging and challenging commercial leaders at a senior level.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of £75,000 – £95,000, depending on experience.
  • Annual performance bonus.
  • Private health cover, enhanced pension, and 25 days holiday.
  • Hybrid working from London with 2–3 days per week in the office.
