We're hiring a Portfolio Manager in London for investment firms in our partner network.
Tasks
What you'll be responsible for:
- As a Portfolio Manager, you'll be accountable for investment strategy, portfolio construction, and performance outcomes. Your decisions will directly impact fund returns and client wealth.
- Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with fund mandates, risk parameters, and performance objectives.
- Construct and manage portfolios across asset classes, balancing return targets with risk tolerance and liquidity requirements.
- Conduct deep fundamental research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess risk-reward profiles.
- Make buy, hold, and sell decisions based on market conditions, valuation metrics, and conviction in investment theses.
- Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and attribution analysis to understand drivers of returns.
- Manage risk exposure through position sizing, hedging strategies, and portfolio rebalancing.
- Communicate investment rationale and portfolio positioning to senior leadership, investment committees, and clients.
- Stay current on macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and market developments that impact portfolio holdings.
Requirements
You'll stand out if you bring:
- A background in consulting from MBB, Big 4, or boutique firms with exposure to financial services, investment research, or asset management.
- 5-8+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, asset management, or buy-side research.
- Strong track record of investment performance with demonstrable alpha generation or outperformance against benchmarks.
- Deep analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency with portfolio management systems, risk analytics platforms, and market data tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.).
- Excellent judgment under pressure and the ability to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.
