We are recruiting a Security Officer for our client, based in Wymondham. This is a temporary WEEKEND position with the potential to progress to a permanent role. The job involves reception cover, hourly site patrols, access control and maintaining site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover the reception desk and welcome visitors
  • Conduct hourly patrols across the full site
  • Provide a visible and proactive security presence
  • Manage access control for tenants, visitors and deliveries
  • Monitor and record site temperature and humidity
  • Assist with tenant enquiries and general site operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year security experience
  • Valid SIA Licence (essential)
  • First Aid qualification (essential)
  • Physically able to move around the site for the full shift
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reception or front-of-house experience (desirable)
  • Driving licence preferred (site is a 15-minute walk from Mallow Way bus stop)

Pay and Benefits:

  • Double time on Bank Holidays
  • 20 days holiday (12 + 8)
  • Company pension after 3 months and successful probation
  • Uniform provided

Shift Details:

  • Weekend shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 11am–11pm
  • Additional hours available for Bank Holiday cover

This role requires hourly patrols of the entire site, so the successful candidate must be physically able and willing to be on their feet throughout the shift. Weekend work is essential, with flexibility for additional cover on Bank Holidays.
