Business Development Manager – Protective Packaging A salesperson to cover the South of England, ideally with sales experience within a Protective Packaging market. This role would be predominantly targeting new business with some account management responsibilities. It will include extensive travel and some overnight stays. Key Responsibilities • Grow sales and profitability within the Packaging and Components Division. • The key objectives are to grow our sales through many categories with the emphasis on new business and to range sell within our existing customer base. • Provide strategic input and work with the UK Sales Team. • Reporting directly to the Sales Director • Build strong customer relationships and to leverage these to support our NPD and to explore crossdivision synergies and build the region within the packaging and components business. • Endeavour to always raise standards and model best practice. Essential Tasks • Take on the southern responsibility for the Packaging & components end users / distributors including rebates, annual agreements, and profitability. • Build on and develop good understanding and knowledge of the packaging products sector: market forces, key drivers, supply chain issues, key players, product requirements and so on. • Develop annual sales plans for packaging and trading products that provide a strategic direction for profitable growth. Use these to develop monthly action plans that are audited and reported on. • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge about relevant products and applications • Provide marketing input and assist in management of technical data sheets, website, and e-shot campaigns to support all divisions. • Review and improve our current processes and work through a CRM platform. • The individual must have the right of residence and to work in the UK, plus a full driver’s license. • Will have 5-7 years of experience in sales/business development management. • Experience in selling to the Automotive, Pharmaceutical or HVAC business would be advantageous together with all an understanding of the solution selling in the packaging world
