- Deliver against key performance indicators including service, productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, cost and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all operational activities are executed efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards and reducing waste.
- Manage site budgets and resources to maximise operational effectiveness and value.
- Lead a safety-first culture where every colleague goes home safely every day.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, transport regulations, company policies and industry standards.
- Drive proactive risk management, incident prevention and continuous improvement of safety performance.
- Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, site organisation and operational discipline.
- Continuously review and improve warehouse, inventory and transport processes to increase efficiency and service performance.
- Identify bottlenecks, analyse root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Lead and embed operational improvement and change initiatives that support growth, scalability and customer satisfaction whilst bringing the teams on the journey to ensure changes are implemented successfully and sustainably.
- Use data, reporting and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive measurable improvements.
- Ensure high levels of stock accuracy through robust inventory management processes.
- Develop strong governance around transactional integrity, stock investigations and inventory reporting.
- Work closely with operational teams to drive accountability for inventory accuracy and process compliance.
- Monitor and improve key inventory metrics including stock accuracy, adjustments, losses and cycle count performance.
- Partner closely with planning, procurement, customer operations, field services and wider support teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
- Act as a key operational leader within the wider logistics and supply chain network.
Collaborating with other sites, sharing best practice, supporting network-wide initiatives and working together to deliver the best possible outcomes for our colleagues and customers.
- Contribute to strategic projects, site launches and network development initiatives.
- Work closely with our third-party logistics partners to drive outstanding service, improve efficiency, optimise costs and continuously raise the bar for operational performance, ensuring our customers receive a brilliant experience every time.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large operational teams (typically 50β100+ colleagues) within logistics, distribution, warehousing or supply chain environments.
- Experience managing both warehouse and transport operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong track record of delivering operational improvements and measurable business results.
- Experience operating within customer-focused environments, ideally B2C logistics.
- An inspirational leader who creates high-performing, engaged and motivated teams.
- Strong coaching and people development capabilities.
- Comfortable managing through change and supporting teams through periods of growth and transformation.
- Passionate about building a positive culture where people are empowered to take ownership, solve problems and continuously improve.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and transport processes.
- Experience using operational data and performance metrics to drive decision making.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
