We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students across various age groups including primary, secondary, 11 plus, GCSE, and A level. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children or individuals requiring specialised education. Duties
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions in subjects aligned with the student's needs and curriculum.
- Assess individual learning styles and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and, where appropriate, to parents or guardians.
- Develop customised lesson plans and educational materials to enhance understanding.
- Support students with special educational needs by implementing appropriate strategies.
- Maintain organised records of sessions, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Promote effective communication to ensure clarity of instructions and encouragement.
Experience
- Experienced in tutoring or teaching in English, ideally with children or young learners.
- Knowledge of stem subjects and strategies for supporting diverse learning requirements is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Experience working with a variety of educational tools and resources.
- Prior experience in one-on-one or small group instruction is advantageous.
