The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with Dyslexia, literacy difficulties and additional SEND needs
- Delivering 1:1 and small group literacy and phonics interventions
- Supporting reading, writing, spelling, and communication development
- Assisting with differentiated and adapted classroom activities
- Encouraging pupil confidence, engagement and independence
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and specialist support staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Literacy Support Assistant
- Has an interest in Dyslexia support, phonics, literacy intervention or SEND
- Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Is calm, patient and nurturing in their approach
- Builds positive and consistent relationships with pupils
- Works effectively as part of a supportive team
- Is motivated to develop specialist SEN and literacy support experience
