We are looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher to support students aged 11–18 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning differences. This role offers small class sizes, a supportive environment and the opportunity to inspire and enable pupils to achieve meaningful outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Differentiating learning for SEND and SEMH needs.
- Support students working towards GCSE, Entry Level and alternative qualifications.
- Create a safe, structured, positive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching to maximise student outcomes.
- Contribute to EHCP targets, annual reviews and personalised learning plans.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and therapists.
- Build positive relationships that encourage engagement, resilience and achievement.
- Promote high expectations for both academic and personal progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS (or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status).
- Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people with additional needs.
- Can build strong, positive relationships with students.
- Is resilient, adaptable and committed to helping pupils succeed.
- Has, or is willing to develop, trauma‑informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Values teamwork and collaborative working.
