The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND
- Delivering pre-planned lessons for supply and short-term cover roles
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional and personal development
- Managing behaviour positively using effective and consistent strategies
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
- Working collaboratively with support staff, parents, carers and external professionals
- Promoting inclusion and helping every pupil achieve their full potential
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experienced working with pupils with SEND in specialist or mainstream settings
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Patient, resilient and adaptable in their approach
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
