Contract: Permanent, Long-Term, Short-Term & Day-to-Day Supply Opportunities

About the Role

NextGen Teachers are actively recruiting qualified Secondary School Teachers with QTS across all subjects for a range of opportunities throughout West Yorkshire. We are currently working with schools looking for teachers for both permanent positions and flexible supply work, including day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements. Opportunities are available across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Kirklees and surrounding areas, with roles across a wide range of subjects and year groups. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons within your subject specialism
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour confidently and consistently
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress where required
  • Support the academic, social and emotional development of pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and expectations
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and ensure continuity of learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory
  • Previous experience teaching within a UK secondary school
  • A recognised subject specialism
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
