NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across KS1/KS2, working closely with class teachers to help create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment. The role may also involve supporting pupils with SEN on both a 1:1 basis and within the classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS1/KS2
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils
  • Providing additional support for pupils with SEN where required
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Supporting pupils with classwork and learning activities
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and resources
  • Encouraging positive relationships and pupil confidence

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working within a primary school
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs
  • Have a positive, patient and proactive approach
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
  • Have at least a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English
