NextGen Teachers are looking for a caring and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory and physical needs. You’ll play a rewarding role in helping children build confidence, develop independence and reach their potential, with specialist training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEN through 1:1 and small group sessions, helping them engage with learning and meet individual goals.
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support and adapted learning activities.
- Encourage communication, social, emotional, and independence skills through fun and engaging activities.
- Help create a caring, inclusive, and supportive classroom where every child can succeed.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while monitoring progress and sharing feedback.
What we’re looking for:
- A caring, patient and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
- Experience working with children or young people with autism, learning difficulties, or communication needs (desirable but not essential).
- A positive, calm approach to behaviour support and emotional regulation.
- Good communication skills when working with pupils, colleagues, and families.
- A proactive attitude and ability to adapt to pupils’ individual needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
