NextGen Teachers are seeking a confident, resilient, and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 role supporting a 4‑year‑old pupil. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to a non‑verbal boy in Reception with complex additional needs.
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92.60 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a 4‑year‑old pupil, helping them access learning and engage fully in classroom activities.
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development in line with individual needs and EHCP targets.
- Adapt resources and learning approaches to promote independence, confidence, and progress.
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider team to ensure consistent support and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.

- Experience working with children with complex needs, particularly non‑verbal needs.
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
