We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting on the outskirts of Horsham. The RoleAs a Maths & English Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both within lessons and through targeted interventions. You will help learners overcome barriers to education, improve their literacy and numeracy skills, and develop confidence in their abilities. You will build positive relationships with students and play an important role in supporting both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Support students in Maths and English lessons on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
- Help students develop confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks
- Encourage positive engagement and participation in learning
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and wider support staff

- Has experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Tutor, or Support Worker
- Has strong Maths and English skills
