Start date: September 2026

We are looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher to support students aged 11–18 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning differences. This role offers small class sizes, a supportive environment and the opportunity to inspire and enable pupils to achieve meaningful outcomes.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting learning to meet individual needs and working closely with pastoral teams, therapists and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Differentiate learning for SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support students working towards GCSE, Entry Level and alternative qualifications.
  • Create a safe, structured, positive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to maximise student outcomes.
  • Contribute to EHCP targets, annual reviews and personalised learning plans.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and therapists.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage engagement, resilience and achievement.
  • Promote high expectations for both academic and personal progress.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with students.
  • Is resilient, adaptable and committed to helping pupils succeed.
  • Has, or is willing to develop, trauma‑informed and therapeutic approaches.
  • Values teamwork and collaborative working.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary including SEN Allowance.
  • Term‑time working with generous school holiday entitlement.
  • Complimentary lunches.
  • Access to on‑site gym facilities.
  • Extensive CPD and specialist SEND/SEMH training.
  • Supportive leadership team and induction programme.
  • Excellent career progression opportunities within specialist education.

Why Apply?

This role is far more than a typical Maths teaching position. You’ll be part of a school that prioritises relationships, wellbeing and individual success. With small class sizes, staff support and a therapeutic approach to education, you’ll make a lasting difference to young people who need it most.
