NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS6 area on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Year 4 and Year 5, working closely with class teachers to help create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Year 4 and Year 5
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Supporting pupils with classwork and learning activities
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and resources
  • Encouraging positive relationships and pupil confidence

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working within a primary school
  • Have a positive, patient and proactive approach
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
  • Have at least a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English
