We are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a year 3 classroom. Someone who is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver engaging Year 3 lessons across the curriculum, following the school’s planning and expectations.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to learn.
- Adapt teaching and activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
- Use questioning, assessment and feedback to monitor progress and support pupils’ next steps.
- Promote values of kindness, respect, resilience, collaboration and excellence, while encouraging confident communication and independence.
What we’re looking for:
- HLTA qualification or proven experience leading learning in a primary classroom.
- Confidence delivering engaging lessons to a Year 3 class across the primary curriculum.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills with high expectations for all pupils.
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to pupils' individual needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
